Old detailers trick for dash etc

Old show car trick used for shiny dash and other plastic parts is to rub Petroleum jelly on them, let sit and wipe off, last much longer then silicone spray.Works great for dry door rubber seals.Swells them back up and stops wind whistles.Just don,t do your steering wheel

It can be used as a temporary solution. And for long term protection, I choose protectant like 303 products. Quite expensive but a lot better than any petroleum jelly.

Well it works in the past, but now a days judges knows well what is really and not and. Also using petroleum jelly, will surely make the surface sticky and dust magnet.
