A bottle of white wall and tire brush shell do the trick.

 

Wow really a thread to clean tires? Geez.

Well while I am here, I'll offer my method.

Bleach white. Wait 5 mine. More Bleach white. Wait 5 min.


Fire up the 2500 psi pressure washer and blast all that **** off.

Your tires will look better than new. And no backache from scrubbing.

Of course a stiff bristle brush will do the same thing.

I use a 50/50 mix of whatever the cheapest Walmart multi-purpose cleaner I can find (like a generic 409 or Fantastic type) in a small garden sprayer for the tires and wheel-well plastic. Just don't spray it on your paint. Let it sit for a minute and use a typical soft scrub brush with a handle to scrub the tires and rinse it off. For the white letters, I use an SOS scrubby pad and then rinse it off. Works great and both are very cheap.

 

Did you get your tires clean? If not, I think i know whats wrong. I detail cars for a living and I worked at one shop that had tire dressing that would turn tires that same brown color that you have. I don't remember what brand it was but the tires looked great until it dried up.

Its from the oil they use on the dirt roads around here. I ended up getting it off via powerwasher.
