Diff cover

well I just got done painting my diff cover a little while ago. Here are a few pics. Do yall think I shouold put a clear coat over top of the chrome paint?

looks nice.. not to sure about the clear coat though... I dont think it will hurt but I may be wrong.

Q. Do you oil spray your vehicle every year?

not too bad.....you should hit it with a couple coats of clear......

you should have painted things black before you painted that silver....

Looks good.

When I did mine, luckily the trans was out and a new slave and clutch was installed, anywho, when I was doing the swap, I popped off the cover, sandblasted all the old paint off, used self etching primer 4 light coats, about 8 coats of dublicolor chrome, and about 15-20 light coats of glass clear coat. I've had alot of bad luck in the past with that "chrome-in-a-can" crap. It's been on the truck for 20k and it's holding up VERY well.

Throw some clear on that biatch.!

I have never done any rust protection to my truck. I didnt see any rust under the truck when I was painting but there is a lot of mud.

I just used some newspaper and duct tape. masking take doesnt stick to red clay that well.

All you hae to do is pick up an aluminum 8.8 cover from a Crown Vic..Polish it up..shines like chrome and never rusts..

Mine is shown on my cardomain page..
