Scotchguard or what else?

This past weekend I was on the road and dumped a rather large cup of pop and ice on my lap. I was able to clean the mess up and I think I got all of it up. I was wondering about treating the fabric with Scotchguard or is there something better out there?

Ideas or suggestions?

Still not sure what pop is because at first I read poop and I laughed. But if it is that northern version of soda or "Coke' then maybe try some damp rags to moisten it up and then use an iron to steam the fabric if you do not have a steam cleaner available. Or you could try a squeezed lemon in a mild soap mixture, I have heard of that before. I have also heard of using peroxide, or I have heard of using baking soda and vinegar. Try these at your own risk, lol. Usually there is no substitution for good old elbow grease.

Any generic carpet cleaner will do. I use a product made by Bissell that I got at the dollar store. It works well. Just spray it on and let dry and vacuum up. They also have spray stuff for $4 or $5 at Kmart, Wal-Mart, etc.

So is Pepsi considered pop? Or is that a nickname for Coka Cola?

I think pop came from the fizzing, popping sound of all carbonated beverages.

Pop is our version of soda HA HA! Fyi I bought cleaner with Oxy clean in it and it came out. Now all I have to do is decide if I want to Scotchguard the interior or figure out if there is something better.

Hey yetti96 I've got family that works in Fort. Meyers. That's cool.

Excellent, then they know it is called soda down here, lol. You gotta come down to FL for a meet, just a short drive right? Fort Myers is kind of funny, some southern people and tons of yankees moving in, oh well.
