That's disgusting and irresponsible!

Think about, soybean oil comes from the vegetable soybeans, peanut oil from peanuts and so on...

...so where does BABY OIL come from?!

Not sure I want to know...

My dad says he used to oil up the bench seat in his old truck so the material was super slippery(vinyl or whatever it is) and then take hard right turns with chicks in the car.

no, no, no....... Oil will degregate the vinyl. Use something like 303 Space protectant. This will not harm or break down the vinyl. Meguiars also make some good products. Stay away from things like Armor All as well.

Would it make your seats get darker in the sun if they have faded?...

John:
303 is a great product but as with any silicon product, I wouldn't use it on the seats with the "slide" factor. Unless of course you have a 3 point harness to keep you in place or maybe even a "hot" babe you want dumped in your lap!

303 is fine. It's NOT a silcone product at ALL. When I ran a tonneau, that's what I used. It's not as "slippery" either. I agree with the 303 recommendation. It's also one of the best UV protectants around.

I tried the baby oil in my truck on the dash, since its HARD plastic it wont hurt anything. it does leave an awsome shine with lots of depth. the feel of it isnt greasy (i applied it then a few minutes later wiped it down with a clean cloth) and so far hasnt been attracting to much dust. its been about a week so far and all is well. it also seems to have rejuevinated my color as it has a nice dark, deep color like it would have had new. never seen it look this nice since i bought it with all the other stuff (armor all mainly) i used.

would i use it again? probaly once or twice a year to bring it up to snuff but im gunna try the Meguires stuff. i wouldnt try it on a newer vehicle with the way the dash is, but on the older dashes that are a hard plastic i say go for it...just wipe it down after its on to get the excess off.

303 is the only thing I use on my truck. I use it for the tonneau cover, mud flaps, door handles, mirrors, step bars, and all the interior. I love that stuff.

well baby oil is used to soften and moisturize your skin... is it not? so well, my stearing wheel, it almost seems like the leather has shrunk and lost alot of its "softness" ill get a pic tomarrow, and show a side by side comparison from new to now, but it seems to me it would work, but im not sure either, so... if baby oil is good for skin, wouldnt that apply to leather too? since leather is essentially skin?
