Like many around here, I like my white lettering on my tires to be bright white, against clean tires.

While, Simple green is sufficient for most tasks, its not for this. Nor is tire foam.

To get your tires, and your white letting truelly white truelly clean like new kinda clean, for less than half the money youll spend on those other 'products' there is no other, than OB.

OB is a commercial floor stripping cleaner and can be bought from a soap store. Look in the phone book. Currently, you can buy a 5 gallon pale, enough to clean THOUSANDS of tires, for $40. The stuff, truelly rocks. If OB cant clean it, it cant be cleaned. pretty much sums it up..you can also cut it like 5:1 as well...

now the bad news; cant let it dry on glass or it will etch the glass. Makes cuts in your hands burn... corrodes bare aluminum... I tried it on my engine bay, It was cleaner than when the truck was new, but 'hazed' my block... =/

It contains glass crystals, which when combined with stiff scrub brush, has amazing results on tires.

and its alot cheaper than simple green.

 

They make a spray for white wall tires it's called "Bleech" or something like that and it works really well too!

I cant remember the exact name but my dad uses it and swears by it. IIRC it was a no touch. Spray on and rinse off I think. Doesn't eat your wheels tho.

 

Westley's Bleche-Wite is the best, but you can't use it on bare metal wheels. Simple green works just fine for cleaning up tires, and so does Purple Power. You're just beyond weird and have problems going about doing things the same way as normal people.

 

when i worked at pepboys we couldnt keep purple power on the shelves, people really like that stuff though ive never used it. but agree westley bleche wite is best just dont use excessively or it can help brown your tires

soft scrub is perfect. its just really thick bleAch...

 

i use westleys to maintain my raised whites every time i wash my truck. westleys and a scrub brush
if they are bad,i will use an SOS pad which works great on them or westleys and a red scotch brite

 

Justin, you got me hooked on using the SOS pad. Best thing by far for the raised whites.

 

bleche white FTW! ill try the sos thing though, i already us that on my chrome parts.

Westley's bleche-white is great for getting the lettering white but if you got aluminum wheels have fun polishing afterwards lol. Simple Green works just as good and doesn't mess with the wheels.

 

I use Comet and a hard bristled brush.

Its cheap and makes them look perfect.

 

Purple power is some mean ****.

 

can I use that Westley's on my oem wheels?

 

degreasers man, i used a generic orange cleaner with a brissled brush and it worked. but yeah zack's right... white goes on the inside...

i think i know what your talking about...its called westleys bleech white and i use it on my tires and it works great
