water spots?
I have a question about possible water spots on the glass of my truck. I was washing it today and tried to get them off, but with no success. I was wondering if anyone has run into this before. I've only had the truck since January, and they've been there since I bought it.

its a common problem, i had it pretty bad on my explorer, you can try to get rid of them with a clay bar
|
use some stoners glass cleaners from walmart... it'll clear it
|
Well, I tried Stoners glass cleaner and nothing. No change. I tried two or three times and it didn't affect the spots at all. Maybe I'll try the clay bar next time. I've never used one, so I'll give it a try. I'm beginning to think that the glass mat actually be etched or something. It's got me stumped.

A sample of the oxygone would be great. I went to the site but didn't want to get the wrong thing. Let me know how to go about it and I'll get one. |
Go to the grocery store, get a powdered cleanser called "Bar Keepers Friend" it is a non-abrasive cleanser. It will NOT scratch glass. do not use "Comet" or "Ajax" etc. as they WILL scratch glass! Worked for me, got rid of my spots!

Dave's stuff worked great on my truck!!! Took the water spots right off.......wait, there was alot of elbow gease b4 they came off but either way Dave's stuff worked. Now that was for the body, I don't know about the windows. I would try some white vingar, that usually works well on windows.

White vineger is the best thing there is for windows.
Plus it will dissolve any mineral spots on your car from the rain. I get them water spots every time I get car wash soap on the windows. |
