What is the most you've ever spent on a car wash??
 

Just interested in seeing how much some of you have spent on a car wash if you're like me and cannot wash your vehicles in the driveway all year round...
The most I've spent to date was $18.53 and it still wasn't clean enough.... but I'm too cheap to spend any more... so It'll have to wait until next time...
Personally I try to avoid using the carwash because the foam brush and other so-called "cleaning devices" do nothing but scratch the crap out of your paint (and yes, I do spray the brush before touching it to my truck), but the pressure washers are really nice once and a while

When I'm feeling super lazy, I go to the Mobil and get the deluxe. It's like 8.50 and after 4 you get a free one.

Doesn't get all the mud off though.

all four pics are different days of wheeling. i think i spent over an hour each day just pressure washing lol. i would hate to have to count how much i have spent to date on washing my truck. i go and get this dirty on average of 2-3 times a month and lots of short excursions in between

Yup same here. If its really bad I'll just wash it at home.

In the winter i usually spend about 2 bucks every week ( i keep my quarters separate during the other months, just for this) just to spray all the salt off it.

I have been in the car wash detail business for 11 years.I manage one of the highest volume fullserve carwashes in the country.Cloister's is the biggest.We charge 24 dollars for what you just said.I've been thinking of adding a wheel cleaning package as we are the only fullserve in town that does them for free.Having said that we are still the most expensive in town(and busiest by far).Our peak days are on par with Cloister's though.Our best day was 1461 cars in 10 hours(full service).

cool...cant argue with the results after taking my truck to cloister...they do a damn good job

Just $2 to $3... doesn't get more than a rinse in the winter and the rest gets done at home!

How many employees and bays do you have?!

We also have an 8 bay self serve,but the full serve doesn't have bays.It is three lanes funnelled into a 100ft.long wash then back to three lanes.In the winter(busy time of year) we have 34-37 employees.Actually finding employees has been an issue as of late.There is also an eight bay detail shop.My good friend runs that.

Wow... that's crazy. I've never heard of anything like that. Definitely nothing like that near me!

I think I have only spent $6-8 dollars on a car wash. Dont plan on spending any more than that unless it is a serious detail.

The detail place i go to when its dirty is called "So Fresh, So Clean" They fully hand wash it and dry the outside. then detail the interior all for $25. or $15 just for the exterior. Then i go wax it lol

Now if everyone up North washed their vehicles like you we'd have a lot less rusted frames and doors.
The truck I just bought was only in Michigan for 2 years and the salt was hard on it.
It seems to me like there should be a better undercoating for cars and trucks in the salt belt.

I'll spend 6 bucks at the drive through wash, and 5 bucks at the self wash. sometimes i'll go to a place we have called fabulous freddies. Full service wash. bout 16 bucks gets you washed inside n out.

I was going to this manual car wash, you know spray it off yourself, not automatic or anything. I would just wash it to my specifications of clean. Two years ago it cost me about 7 to 8 dollars a wash depending on how much soap I had to spray off, then last year I was doing pretty much the same wash but it was costing me 16! In short, i found a new car wash where i spend an average of probably 6 dollars.

Probably would have spent close to $50 if it was my truck because of my OCD with it being clean

You can go and get a Ziebarts, but they suck now. they don't undercoat everything, they don't do a a whole lot of prep work and get over spray everywhere.
I'm thinking of taking a Quart of rustolleam and a brush to everything bare under my truck before winter hits, might help it a bit. but i doubt it.
