Some of you recognize this from another ranger forum.

totally forgot i had an account on here so i figured i'd help out on here as well!

I'm making this thread for anyone to ask any detailing/cleaning question you make have, exterior, interior, ranger, non ranger you name it!

Anyone can feel free to chime in and help out,noticed Dixie_boysles and Djfllmn are on here as well, and are lots of help!

Perfect! I was just gonna do a search, but this will be more fun haha.

Gonna clean my truck really good this weekend since I fixed the pressure washer, was wondering what the best stuff to use For the exterior plastic trim would be.
Flares, bumper etc.

Also, best way to clean under door handles, around gas cap, etc.

if they are black, i use maxima sc1, watch out though sc1 doesnt mix well with windows its kinda hard to get off. or you can use any tire dressing.

I always pressure wash thoroughly on the handles and gas cap and then i get my air compressor and blow all the water out, then dry it. ive also used a electric leaf blower.

Use a boar's hair brush to clean hard to reach areas.

I tried using a brush to get in those spots, but it didn't work that great, it's almost like a film of buildup lol, hard to explain, the brush just made marks in it and didn't clean it.
Would there be some sort of liquid I could spray on it to loosen all that up and just spreay it out.?

whenever i cant get some of the dirt out i use my spray bottle that has car soap diluted with water, spray a bunch in there. let it sit, spray more and then pressure wash it out.

Would simple green work?

yea simple green would probably do better then a car soap.

remember simple green works as a degreaser so it will strip previous was from the paint, so if i were you i would apply wax wherever the simple green touches (probably just below the handle where it would drip onto, i wouldnt worry about behind the handle)
