Looking for more power!

Does anyone know of any performance mods you can put on a 2002 2.3L, or any tip's on getting more power? Thanks.

You can do the typical free flowing intake and exhaust mods but on such a weak motor the returns will be minimal. Your best bet is to just gear it up.....or swap in a bigger motor. And NO you cant just throw a turbo on it.

hes done a few mods to the newer 2.3...he could point you in the right direction

i've seen his truck move.....its pretty wicked

the 2.3 in your ranger is very similar to the one in the ford focuses. You should go on some of the focus sites and check out what they've done.

Basically nonexistent...

You can turbo, but one the stock internals you won't get good results - plus I don't know any pre-existing kits for the truck. I would see if someone sells bigger cams, and you can port and polish your head. If you do anything to it you will want to get it tuned- that alone with the stock hardware will probably get you 20+whp.
