whats up, i just got an 08 xlt 2.3 and havnt found any cold ait intakes, any ideas where i can find one or am i better off trying to make my own?

 

Well the stock intake is a cold air intake. You can remove the silencer in the front of the box for some more air flow and some sound.

I'm not sure what aftermarket intake are out there for the 2.3's. If it's listed to work with for a 07 then I'm sure it will work for the 08.

 

open air filters are lame, ask me how i know, i just had to put a new motor in my truck not that long ago.

 

removing the silencer sounds like a plan to me, i wasnt looking for any major gains in power, mostly a little sound maybe a little feel on the throttle but thats about it. thanks
