main bearings?

main bearings?

i think my main bearings are taking a pooo has anyone on here ever changed them on a 2.3L duratec?

Mains failing on an 08 truck? Damn how do you drive this thing!

Im gonna call BS on this as well...if it is an early 2.3 duratec there is a recall on the mains, but i still doubt they are bad unless you lug the crap out of it or oil change isnt in your vocabulary

it may be it may not be the mains but if im going to drop the pan it check them i might as well change them or is there a way to check without droping the pan?

i dont know how to explain the sound but it only does it going up hill when i let off the gas at around 4k

my cousins a mechanic he said it sounded like i may want to check the mains

cant lug a auto and oil has been changed every 3k since new with Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic blend and a Motorcraft FL910/FL910S filter

wasnt sure if your trans since it is not listed.

more likely would be the timing chain...2.3s sound like sewing machines anyway

speaking of sewing machines the sound im talking about is like a electric motor

i think i may just roll with it since its not as constant issue if it gets worst ill investigate more probley nothing i just get real paranoid when i hear wierd noises from my truck

thats rod bearing knock not main bearing but i get what ya mean

i meant rod* you said it happens when you let off the gas...which would rule out main bearings...even know im certain you have neither of them

i know its not rod and its probley not main maybe i should do a video se if i can pick it up
