need some advice
ok 2 times now ive found a issue with my ranger. tonight i was getting ready to drive home from work but the engine wouldnt turn over.
so my battery guage showed that mt battery was drained.i made sure all of the switches were off. i didnt have jumper cables nor did my boss. so i tryed to start it again and i ended up having' to put my foot to the floor, after that it started soooo...
i put a new battery in last yr, a new altanator the year before that so i have no idea what is going on. this is the 2nd time i had this issue. the 1st time my neighbor gave me a jump and it only took 2 seconds for the truck to start before that...
so is it:
altanator, battery or started?? im thinking the started because the truck is a 03 bought it new. but if it was the started it would have nothing to do with affecting my battery...??

Last Ranger of mine had similar problem that ended up being a bad wiring harness/connection at the alternator - 2 new alternators didn't fix the problem. Finally figured out that you were supposed to pack the connector with dielectronic grease to get a good connection and to keep the wiring from getting too hot.
