Fuel Pump Problem

Yesterday my truck decide it was better to stay put than to take me anywhere. I was out driving and came to a stop light, i noticed the trucks idle started to get rough. I hit the accelerator and the engine died. I started it back up and it ran, however, i hit the accelerator again and it died.Tried to start it a second time and it would not start. I replaced the fuel filter, which did not relieve the problem. i then towed it back home to work on it. I checked the spark plugs, just to rule that out and all four where fine. I have checked the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump fuse inside the engine compartment, both are fine. I took the line off of the output end of the fuel filter and the input side of the fuel rail. No fuel came out. Blew through it and it was not clogged. So I took the bed off and took out the fuel pump, i hooked it up to a battery and the motor seemed to work. i then connected the fuel pump wiring together and disconnected the wires that go into the motor, Connected those wires to a voltmeter and got 0.00 Volts.

I dont know if the wiring from the fuse panel is bad, or if i am missing a relay or fuse. Im obviously not getting electricity to the fuel pump. I do not know where the break is, nor how to troubleshoot where it could be coming from, without running down the wires. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

After fooling around with it most of the day, I have fixed the problem. The inertia switch came unplugged. Figures i had to take the truck apart to find out the problem was in the passenger side floor board.Oh well it is road worthy once more.
