I changed spark plugs about 90k miles ago. I can't remember for the life of me which ones I got... I know they were motorcraft oem ones. And I also know autolite makes the motorcraft ones.

I'm checking eBay and there seems to be several Motorcraft ones.

Does anyone know by chance which are the OEM motorcraft part number we use on the 2.3L?

Pretty sure I narrowed it down but I see two:
MOTORCRAFT SP439
MOTORCRAFT SP439A

EDIT2.
A are for suppressor type spark plugs that might cause interference with radio..etc. So I believe the spark plug that should be used is the SP439.

Hi, what year truck do you have? is your truck the 2.3 with the 8 plug engine ?

If I remember correctly the intake side calls for a different plug then the exhaust side.

 

2001 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L.

I only have 4 plugs. I thought most Duratecs were 4 plugs, but the limas were 8?

Yup. Definitely SP439.

Usually most people will refer to the 2001 Duratec's as 2001.5's.
I believe 2001 was a transition year for Ford and their 4-cyls.

Ordered the SP439's on eBay. I love when things are cheap. Paid $11 w/free shipping so should have them by Saturday.
