unserviceable?

Might be a n00bish question, but I'm reading my haynes repair manual and I realize it says at the time of writing, the 2.3l dohc engine block, crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods and main bearings couldn't be serviced. Is this still true? I mean I know they sell pistons for the focus engine, which is almost the same, so id assume its changed, but I wanna check with the experts.

You can.

Waht did you do to it? Blow it up?? rockauto has a ton of stuff for the duratec engines as far as stock replacements go.

...or are you turbo-ing it?

I replaced a spun bearing on a 2.3 in an escape same engine.
