Dtec Mechanical Fan Removal?

Have a 08 dtec with both electric and mechanical fans, my honda ran electrics so I have no doubts they're reliable, the electric fan is activated when the ac kicks on which on a ranger is almost all settings of climate control, and to top it off I live at the beach now so the motor wont be getting hot, i drive canyon roads and the pch everyday, the mech fan is coming off. ive searched and seen removal for the 3.0 and 4.0 and that they each have different thread pattern counter/clockwise

anyone know which direction the duratec fan needs to rotate for removal? id hate to smack it tighter when i want it loose.

and do i need to remove the pulley or can i take the fan off with the belt in place? thanks in advance

thanks for the replys, finally got around to this today. was simple, but glad i posted i would have assumed reverse threads lol.

silverfox respectfully im not going to. the radiator is big for a 4 banger. the climate is mild to the point that i dont think the e-fan is even necessary, but im keeping it for when i go back down south or inland in general because hitting traffic is the main concern. the e-fan is turned on whenever the ac kicks in, which on rangers is alot of positions of the climate control. even if i did see it was getting hot i could just turn a ****.
