2002 2.3L-T?? Turbo swap Q's

I have a 2002 2.3. And want a little more power from it. I have Ben lookin at outher peoples builds haven't ben able to find what I need to know. I know I'll need forged pistons and rods. Idk about the head. Intake and exhaust manifolds. From what I can find the 2003-20?? Had a turbo option. If that's the case then will the manifolds fit my engine and can the head handle an ideal 10psi and a max of 12-15psi

Thank you. I forgot about the fuel pressure and injectors. That is a good article. I can't really do everything in it seeing as there aren't any 2.3l turbo rangers for me to get harnesses and computers from. I know people have done this before but I can only find engine swaps not turbo add ons. I want to keep my engine and re build it with a turbo.

Ok I found a company that makes a turbo kit for the 2.3 but it doesn't do anything to the internals. Any idea on how I can drop the compression In my engine. There are 3 or 4 parts that I am looking at replacing for this. piston, rods, crank, and going from head bolts to studs. Same with the main caps. I want all forged and the crank to be as good as new even if it's usable

Connecting rods and crank were the same on all 2.3l engines normal or turbo versions.
Turbo 2.3ls from 1983 - 1888 used forged pistons with 8.0:1 compression ratio.

New forged pistons may be hard to find at this time, you may need to find and buy an older turbo 2.3l

I am finding rods no problem. From what I can tell the older 2.3s used a 5.2in rod. I can't find the measurements on a 2002 rod so I don't know if this is a drop in compression or not. I have found out that with the factory 9.70:1 compression at 8psi is still below 15:1 which is what I want. Also I was wondering what the except able clearance Is between a wrist pin and the rod if it's going to be a floating rod.

A nuther question. How much room do I need to add to the cylinder from stock to drop compression idk... To 9:1. I just want to know what to compare what I'm thinking to.

The top of the piston's shape and height lowers or raises compression in this case, not the stroke.

The Lima 2.3l OHC was used from 1974 - 1997, then Lima 2.5l OHC until 2001

In 2001 or 2002 the duratec 2.3l DOHC came out in Rangers, these are not related to the Lima OHC models

So 1998 and up parts, are for a 2.5l or a Duratec 2.3l
