Tires w/ 2.3l duratec
Just bout a 2010 Ford Ranger its only got the 2.3l with 3.73 rear I was wondering whats the biggest tires it can handle. Power wise not hight?

power wise i have 31's and they have made it alittle more slugish but livable but seening you have 3.73's im guessing its a manual mines a auto so there is some differents ill let someone chime in with a 5 speed you can always regear the rear end and run even larger if you really want

I have 31's, 3.73 and a 5 speed on mine. its not bad on the road, takes a little longer on the highway to get up to speed, a full loaded truck and up hill is a different story, i have to go to 3rd or 4th just to keep at 60mph. I would change the ring gear out to 4.10 if u want to go any bigger, i want to change mine out now and stay with the 31's. i think it would be the best combo.

anything above 235/75 will prolly see loss in power and mpg. ive always been told on boards to run 31's you should swap to 4.56 to keep the mpg's and tq up

I have a 98 2.5L which I am told actualy has less hp then the new 2.3. And I am running 235/75. Up hill highway is a little hard sometimes. No rubbing and a very slight decrease in mpg. I have the michelin ltx ms. And it looks pretty sweet!

Thanks for the info. I live in south Texas so i dont have to worry about hills and i only drive 5,000 miles a year so not to worried about gas.

I have a 09 2.3 5spd and 4.11 with 31s. I noticed a little loss with normal driving and about 250rpm drop on the highway in 5th. I didnt have too much of a loss in mpg still about 27 but i would go to 4.56. I want to do this someday
