Hub Help!
Okay, so I took the truck wheeling a few months ago. Turned out to be a lot rougher than anticipated. It was dumb. That's not the pointl
The point is that when I was getting pulled out, I think I grrenaded my stock auto-locking hubs. There was a loud "PANG!" and I lost traction under my front tires. I immediately switched it to 2wd, afraid I was going to damage something.
Two questions:
1) Did I blow the hubs? I think I did and my buddies thought so too,but is there a way to check without damaging the axle shaft (aka trying to engage it)?
2) If they blew out, how much would it cost to replace them? I don't want manual-lockers because I don't plan on offroading again anytime soon. I just want the stock automatic hub assembly. Parts? Labor? Is it something I should try and do myself or leave to a professional?
Thanks guys!

I have a 2000 ranger xlt 3" lift 32's, i put on a set of avm manual locking hubs because i broke the stock ones, the vacume system doesnt like mud. Well i blew out the avm hubs, and then blew out another set, and just tonight i was driving in the snow and one of the hubs just blew apart. I dont think warn makes a hub for my year truck. does anyone know of a better brand?
