HELP ! First What is a manual T/C from an '03 FX4 worth ? (Not sure of Milage yet) With the shift levels ? How can I tell for sure if the T/C is from an FX4 ? Thanks, |
you talkin twin sticks? shane might know

They're worth a couple hundred bucks. You'll be able to tell the FX4 manual cases cause they're the only manual cases with the tulip style front output flange.

They are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. $150-250 maybe a bit more to the right person. |
I think i paid $200 for mine. Youll have to check my build thread.. Cant really remember.

yea if it comes with all the shift levers and the hurst shifter you'll know right there, if theres a date stamped on it (i dont knowif it would) and it said 2002 or 2003 you'll know its out of an fx4 level 2

Thanks for all of the info, I am a novice when it comes to the new Rangers and what they have or what shift lever(s) come with what so my questions may be a little off.
A guy has a manual T/C without any shifting mechanism and want to sell it along with a Rear Axle both from an FX4, the axle he is asking $400 for but the T/C he is up in the air with. Before I make the offer I wanted to know the range on the pricing. Thanks, |
Keep in mind that the shift linkage for the FX4 manual case is SUPER hard to find.

Thanks, If you are thinking of buying the fx4 axle and you plan on wheeling dont buy it. get an explorer axle. you will get the same thing but with disc brakes and an 1.5 inches wider. the fx4 31 spline 8.8 is a custom length axle shaft so if you would ever break or bend one you would have to get one from ford or have a hell of a time finding on at a junk yard. parts for the fx4 axle arent cheap. the explorer axles are dime a dozen and pretty cheap and just as strong. |
