I did a search on “Transfer Case” and got a lot of info, too much for one question.

Can someone please help me asap ?
I am almost certain this will work nut I need support.

My nephew want to know if an electric T/C from a '99 Ranger will fit a '93 Mazda w/manual T/C ?

Both trucks are 4x4s, the Mazda has a manual Shift T/C and the Ranger has an electric T/C and there is also the way the hubs work, does that affect the T/C.

I first told him don’t do it but he needs a truck and this is his only option if it will work, he owns both truck, the '99 is a crash victim. What he want to do is use the electric unit to get through the summer and find another manual unit and replace it again.

The case will bolt on with no issues, not sure if 4wd will work.

I dont think the manual trucks in that year have the push button electronics.

Thks or the info, I thought that too but was not certain and didn’t want to give out bad info.

All here needs to do is drive it in 2WD for now, then get another T/C.

 

Just read elsewhere its possible to swap the manual linkages to the electric case.

I have not done this, but once you get them on the bench side by side take a look.

I told him to put them both on the bench and compare them.
i will let him know about the Electric/Manual thing and see where that goes.
His just needs to get it running and moving...
