2wd and 4wd rotors

I need to replace my brakes and I was looking on amazon and I can find 4wd rotors for half the price of 2wd rotors. Are they the same size and can I use those or do I need to look for 2wd specific rotors?

06 2wd sport

they are different. 4wd is a hat style rotor where it slides over your hub. But the 2wd is an all in one piece....the rotor and hub is one unit.
don't forget to replace your wheel bearings(or repack them if they are still good)!

okay thanks guys. Tried to do it a little cheaper. Do you know any places to get good rotors? I looked on amazon and they wanted 45 a side and I dont really want to get them from Kragen because I think they are kind cheap there.

Thanks Ryan

Not sure what you mean exactly... you want cheap but Kragen is cheap so you won't get them there?

You likely won't find them much cheaper than that.

Remember you're turning 35" tires... I'd be putting the good stuff on but it's up to you!

You'd be amazed at how long a really good quality rotor and pad will last you.

so many guys warp rotors or eat through pads because they bought the cheap stuff.

High quality brakes will last a long time.

Anyways, just buy the napa stuff...they usually come with a good warranty...

make sure you specify that you have the torsion bar suspension when you order the rotors.....regular 2wd (coil spring) rotors are smaller (at least they were for my 03, i dont know if things have changed)....i found this out with mine when it was 2wd after i put them on and realized the pads were much bigger. had to order the right ones and do it twice

Exactly. Pay for the good stuff once... it may cost twice as much but you'll change the cheap ones twice (or more) in the same time.

I ment to say inexpensive the first time not cheap. I think kragen has cheap (low quality) stuff. I just wasnt sure if I could get a good brand for under 45 but I guess thats what I will do
