Transmission cooler

I've been seeing a lot of threads on trans coolers and it got me to thinking if I have one stock or not. It looks like I have a second (smaller) radiator. Is this the trans cooler? Also is it a good one? We have a 17 foot boat and I'd like to be able to tow it to Lake Michigan but it's a 60 minute drive and I don't know if the trans will be able to stick up to that long of a trip with about 3k behind it. We usually use my dad's F-150 but he wants me to start towing more so I can learn and because he hates driving at 3 AM.

Any help would be great. And I know it's a noob q but better to feel stupid and ask than break something later.

Truck is a 2001 Ranger, 4x4 package and 4.0

Yes that is the stock trans cooler.

Yes you will be good towing your boat, the tow rating for your truck is in the 5200lb range, 3k is well under that.

If your worried about it you allways add a second cooler inline with the stock one. I have a Flexalite cooler with my stock one and my tranny stays ice cold towing my 16ft Toy Box that weights 4500lbs.
