3rd gear slipping auto tranny
 

I cleaned my shift solenoid as suggested. My Ranger seems to shift better than before except 3rd gear. Now when it shifts into 3rd it's slipping.:261: My tranny is a 5R55E. Should I replace the 3rd gear solenoid?

Problem fixed. Shift Flare seems to be what was causing this problem and seems to be quite common in the 5R55E Ranger transmissions. Replacing the EPC fixed this issue for me.:ford:
