4.0L manual trans questions.

Is the trans for the 4.0L the same as the one for the 4.0L mustang?
I was looking into clutch kits from spec and most places have them for the v6 Stangs. I did find http://www.lmperformance.com/brand.a...8&y=2008&b=207 that lists a kit available for the ranger.
I wanna make sure before I order one that it'll fit.

The spec site also lists a ranger one.

To answer the first question... a Mustang one won't fit.

A 4.0L Mustang one is 10" OD, 1-1/16" ID and has 10 teeth while an '08 4.0L Ranger is 10-1/8" OD, 1" ID and has 23 teeth.

Thanks Adam, so if I went spec I should stick to the sites that have a ranger avail in the drop down.

Ok, slave cylinder question. I was talking to a buddy that has a vacuum for the slave. Put it into master cylinder and pump it and the clutch. I told him about removing and the vids online. He asked a question I didn't know the answer to. When you take out the line to reverse bleed, wouldn't there be air at the check valves when you reinstall?
He's done the vacuum thing to his 97 firebird and it seems to work for him. I also realize a 97 fbody and a 08 ranger are two different beasts.
