Which 4.88 gears?
 
I have a 97 explorer 31spline axle, and a torsion(sp?) locker from a 03 fx4 lvl2 and Im looking for a 4.88 gear. I also have a rebuild kit


but i dont know what 4.88 gears i should get, i dont know the difference besides a price

i have had motive gears for a year now and haven't had a problem with them

I think ford is best, but I put motive [ shipper thought they were ford; or so he said] gears in my truck [standard grade] . They're ok for me, but hard as hell. I wouldn't want to drag race with them. bob

Richmond, or Yukon

my 78 f-350 has Richmond
my 74 charger has Yukon

they are good
