4 wheel drive stuck
I recently bought a 96 4x4 ranger with 107 k miles. I live in northern Michigan and need 4 wheel drive, After purchasing it I checked the brakes. I removed the front tires and discovered something broke in the axle. I took it to the ford dealer and they told me it was a part for the engaugement of the 4 wheel drive. They also told me that ford was having problems with the automatic 4 wheel drive engaugement system and that I woudl be better off buying an after market manual kit for it and install it. I did and it worked for awhile. I had to use the 4 wheel drive recently and now I cant get it to come out of 4 wheel drive low. I disinguaged the hubs and turned the switch to 2 wd and it still shows 4 wd low. When I drive it I cant go over 45 miles per hour. Any seggestions on what to do would be great. Thanks Dennis
