4R55E trans issue

Got a 2000 3.0 4X4 with a 4R55E trans. Has developed what acts kinda like a slip in 2nd gear. Only does this in 2nd and only at higher rpms when it is getting close to shifting into 3rd, seems like a 2-300 rpm slip, then will shift right into 3rd if I barely let off the gas. Does the same if I step on it and kick down to 2nd, once it gets close to shifting to 3rd get the slip. Manual downshifting to first at 20 mph and I have no engine braking while coasting for several seconds before it starts engine braking......Does this sound like the 2-3 shift flare and leaking separator plate gaskets possibly? Not throwing any codes so doubt it is a solenoid issue. Fluid looks and smells just fine.

Looking around, I see most places online list the 4R44E, 4R55E, and 5R55E separator plate gaskets (the upper and lower gasket, don't think there is a correct bonded one for the 4R55E) as being compatible between all 3 trannies...Any input on if that is actually true? Local Ford stealerships do not have the gaskets in stock, and the only way they would order is if I ordered a case qty of both the upper and lower gaskets

Any advice is appreciated.
