chirping in the rear....??????
I've been having this problem for about 3 weeks now. There is this squeaking/chirping sound coming from the rear of my truck. At first, it mostly did it in reverse, then forward and reverse. It stopped for about 4 days and yesterday it started again but only when im going forward. The chirping sound speeds up with the trucks speed. Its not a constant sound. I cant really hear it at higher speeds. Its more noticable between 5 mph - 20 mph. Its driving me nuts. I checked the diff fluid and it was fine. Think its my axle. I did alot of mudding recently and i buried my truck. From the doors down was in water for about 2 hrs. Took 7 different trucks trying to pull me out. Anyway, if anybody has had this problem i would appreciate any help and advise on this. Thanks in advance.

After having your truck so deep in muddy water so long I'd be concerned about it getting into everything--diff, bearings, u joints, trans, t-case... Couldn't be a better time change some fluids and regrease...
