4x4-4x2

im gettin ready to do an engin swap in my 4x2 ranger to a 351 and i have a c6 tranny but its from a 4x4 bronco is there any way to convert it to a 2 whel drive or do i have to find a new transmission?

unless you know how to disassemble and reassemble transmissions and have access to the 2wd output shaft and tail housing for the C6 (not the cheapest or easiest parts to find) it would just be better to find a good 2wd tranny for it. it would save a lot of headaches and down time.

i would but i like my 2 wheel drive for reliability sakes and the fact that im probly gonna take it up to the local track n drag race sometimes not to mention i like whe whole baja sorta drivin
