help, transfer case stuck in 4x4High

hey guys, please help me, i bought a second ranger to upgrade from the first, and one of the kinks in this one, is that it has electronic shifter for the 4x4. i try to dis-engage the 4x4 and nothing happens, its stuck, the "4x4" light is on, and it wont even shift into 4 low, there was a brown wire on the transfer case that wasnt connected to the harness, so i took a joint connector and connected it to the opposing brown wire, and nothing. please help, need the new ranger on the road quickly!

Not sure what year you got.

Remove the shift motor and turn the **** back to 2wd. Your issue lies in the shift motor itslef. Check the fuses , then clean or replace the shift motor.

Try to disengage on loose ground while rolling, 4hi uses syncros so your best bet should be when your moving.

Put the clutch in with the brake and try it. I know on mine, to get it in or out of 4Hi, the clutch and brake pedals need to be pushed before it will switch.
