Brake issue??

I drove home from work today and when i got home I smelled something hot so I inspected the truck everything looked normal and I couldnt find the smell. Well turns out it is the drivers side rear drum. Poured some water on it to see if it was hot and it sizzled like bacon in a pan. Obviously way hotter than it should ever be. Anyone know what the issue could be? Havent used the E-brake in a while and I have never driven with it on. First time I have ever had an issue like this and it was only the drivers side. Any input would be great!!

Did you have any load in the truck at all? I know when I had the bed of my '07 loaded up that the parking brake cable would get pulled up by the leaf spring and would make the shoes drag and get hot. Could be a stuck wheel cylinder, broken spring, separated lining... all kinds of stuff. I'd pull the wheel off and take a look!
