Yes, "which is simpler or easier" is up to YOU, no one else, you know your skill level and tools available to you

You may have been under the impression that swapping in explorer axle was "easier" than it is
I think the Mustang disc brake conversion is simpler and easier myself, but that is my opinion, nothing more
If you wanted to Lower your truck or had a noisy rear axle then the swap might be the better choice......for you
