4:56s now or later?
Within the next few years i plan in superlifting and running 35s. Some time soon i plan on also putting in a limited slip, Ford version or powertrax. Should i just regear now and just get it over with or wait till i superlift and 35 that son of *****. Also would there be any issues with 4:56 gears and a no slip? thanks again guys

Personally I wouldnt waste my time with a limited slip, why not just go for a No-Slip?
I find that a l/s is really only good for the street. If you want true off-road performance, go for a locker. If one of your wheels is off the ground, it will still spin with a limited slip. With a locker it wont.

Wow this thread might have the most comments back to back from the same person ever...... OP, you might want to look into the "edit" feature...it will allow you to edit and/or add items to an old post without having to make another one!
Oh and to answer one of your questions..I say regear now...why not!

So you have an 06 fx4? I'd definetly keep the drivetrain stock and go get you some 35's and an xcal tuner. You'll be fine. Kevooo's truck with superlift/body 35's, 4.10's LS all that with a 4.0 was faster than my truck on 33's with 4.10's and xcal tuner and all my other mods...the 4.0 is plenty motor for ya

Yea get the xcal, you will love it. Save your money for those 35's, I love how our rangers look on 35's :) From experience, you'll be OK with 4.10's...I'm not saying you won't want 4.56 though...
