Thats what i was going to tell you to do.
they get stuck sometimes. so just a nice tap does the trick,
Remember, One hit is maintenance, Two is abuse.

if you get in a pinch, I picked a motor up at Advance Auto for around $50. I read all the tutorials and tried cleaning mine up because they said a new one was 200-300. Totally FUBAR'd mine and was pleasently suprised that new one was so cheap (comparatively).

The nylon spacer inside was smashed to hell. Nickel piece of plastic taking out a $50 motor.

These shift motors are somewhat vulnerable to sticking, best thing a guy can do is to engage/disengage 4X once a week to keep things moving.

Make sure you are stopped with foot on the brake in neutral before you switch back to 4hi.
