1994 front inner wheel bearing HELP !

Can the inner bearing and cup, or retainer or whatever the term is, be knocked out fron the front side of the rotor tith a block of wood and a hammer ? Or do you need a special tool to remove the bearing ? It is making some squeeling noise and it is hard to gain access to repack that inner bearing without removal it looks like.
Thanks !!

Yes, you can tackle that job without a problem. You can just pry the grease seal out, and replace them with new.

I suggest you use a drift to tap the races out, not wood. In a pinch, you could use a common screwdriver, but expect to ruin it. I keep a long screwdriver shank (no handle) for this purpose.

Should be an easy job all around. Use a large socket to tap the new races and seals in without cocking them.

Ok thanks, that was my game plan, I was just looking for a confirmation of my thoughts, thanks for the tip on the drift to remove the race though.
