Rear Axel Question...1997 ranger

I also have been lookin in getting new gears but also a larger rear axle...I got a 97 4.0L auto tranny 3.73 gears in the rear and I'm runnin 33/12.50, what would be the best for me?

with 33's 4.10's would be your best bet......

what about going to a different size axel...maybe with disc break?

you can get an Explorer 8.8 w/ 31 spline axles but it isn't a direct swap....there is some fab work involved since the Explorer axles are spring under axle...

you can get a 8.8 out of an explorer much stronger, 31 spline and disk brakes.


or you can go all out and get a 14 bolt full float out of a jimmy. 1 ton for teh win.
