T5 vs 4 speed toploarder

What's goin guys. I just got a 4 speed toploader out of a 1966 fairlane and I found a good deal on a 1987 T5. I was wondering what everyones opinion was on which one would be better behind a 1987 302. Thanks

Is the 4 spd out of a 390 car or a small block car? They both will physically bolt up to a small block bell housing but the 390 4spd has a longer input shaft. I'd sell the 4 spd to someone thats needing one for a restoration and put that money into the 5 spd swap.
