You would be very wise to not run your truck locked in 4wd on an icey road .
haha dude your arguing about somthing from last week... stop being an ethug and go mall crawl your pos 4banger 2wd "danger ranger"

99ranger sorry for bashin on you man but i hate when people take the time to say "search" rather then take the time to strike up a conversation, i mean this is a forum for help and entertainment i like talking to poeple on here and theres not much talking going on, so if bringing up somthing that was already mentioned i wouldent mind telling some one again, just to strike up some life in this place.. gives me somthing to do at work on my down time..

they are too 1500 to 1600 bucks for the one i want. this isnt the one i want thats only 5.5 inches i want a 6 or 8 inch with everything like radius arms and rear leafs and that includes shocks and the whole deal.

so do a 3"bl and an rcd get some 35's on it and you will have plenty of lift...

Ok. To be fair though Jmhm17, most of the people telling him to use the Search button have been around for much longer then you (not saying this as an insult, just a factual statement). It gets old seeing the same questions pop up for the 843rd time.

Not saying that people still shouldn't answer, but for a lot of the people who have been around for awhile this is old hat stuff.

And from the way I read John's first post he wasn't trying to be a dick or anything. He simply stated that you would want to try searching and using Aussie's website as you'll find a lot more information then will ever be posted in this thread.

Either way though, both ways of presenting information works. Just gotta learn to get thicker "e-skin". Haha... spend any time on Pirate and that happens real quick. I don't think there is a question asked on that board where you someone doesn't just **** and moan about the search button. Haha...

And to answer the question originally posted (even though it's already been done), a front locker on snowy roads could be interesting to say the least. I would steer clear of a front locker unless you were really going to be like a 90% off-road truck.

and rcd lift is a nice lift but way to much money and idk if i want to run 35s on my truck or not i kinda like a little stuffed look once i graduated college in 4 years im def guna sas my truck and maybe then i will go with an rcd but right now i would just like a little mild off road machine that i can drive everyday and still get good gas mileage with on the highway. i wouldnt realy care if my truck was a little bit of a dog its a truck it wasnt designed to go fast if was designed to pull **** and go offroad and all that. im thinking i want to run 33s and 3.73s so i will get decent highway mileage and when i offroad i will have ot use 4L which isnt a big deal i would much rather us that. so thanks to the people in this thread that gave me the answer i wanted. so i guess my first big mod to my truck is going to be an explorer axle with a l/s and 3.73 gears then i will have to order gears for the front of my truck .

Thanks alot guys

First now that ive reread my reply I relize I came across as a jerk , to the OP I apologize , I was trying to make a point you will soon understand , John gave you a good link and good advice to use the search . I gave you the list I did because there topics that are asked every day , to show where we are coming from when we say use the search .

Then I gave you a reply , wich I will say again I would not run a front locked vehicle in 4x4 at any speed over 15mph where you have the remote possibilty of hitting a hard patch of road covered in ice it would not be good because if you were to loose control and spin your done , I dont think it would be possible to regain control .

I think it would be a btter investment to get a good set of winter tires for snow use I think it would be of better use and safer .
In addition If you dont do alot of off roading you could better invest your $$ into a selectable rear locker that you can turn off and on . When you get in ruff spots .

Look you started this when you replied this to one of Johns replys that gave him the answer the first time .
Thats the reason I even chimed in because you went off on a veteran member here who gave him all the info he needed.

One I didnt notice the date or I probally wouldnt have replyed thats my fault , out of the two of us Ill be a man and admit my mistake.
Two the reason we mention search is once you have been here it will get old asking the same stuff over and over . In addition we have already discussed all lockers backwards and fowards .
I gave a list for reason honeslty take the time one day when your at work or in your down time and use the key words I posted and see how many threads pop up . Trust me it will get old I was ripped on about this when I first came here now I search before I post because I can find the answer without bring up the same topic over and over .

Thats funny your insult sounds as you put it very ETHUGISH , one Danger Ranger is in my Sig as a Joke becuase there all refered to as that . And yeah my truck is not a pos I dont mall crawl like spoiled brats . So now that that is solved Instead of insulting you Ill be the bigger man and act like and adult and LET IT GO .

No impretty sure in the 2 threads Ive been apart of where we have write ups of every locker that will work in rangers we hit every point multiple times over again .
You didnt stick up for anyone with what you wrote you made yourself look like a ETHUG , and a little kid that you probally are .

im not trying to not be a man by not saying im wrong i guess i never saw it the way you just posted.. i mean i am a veteran on other forums so dont think im new to this same thred stuff getting old, just trying to state i usethis place for information and entertainment (i try not to get wraped up in fourm drama, although debate can be fun at times). i applaude (sp) your replay in the time and effort it must of taken for you to make me look like an *** in the most professional way. and for that i will man up and admit that what you said was true, im not here to make enemys but some people come off as jerks and im used to seeing people troll fourms and post up a smartass remark just cause they think they know it all. so as you can see i thought this was what you were doing. i guess we all just need to be more clear on the quick blurbs we post to make sure we get our port across the right way insted of being mis inturprited as a ***** that automaticly thinks your a noobie for asking a dumb question. i see no question as a dumb one unless its somthing compleatly out of line, but a lagitament question like his was simply answered with a "search" wich kinda pisses me off. so im over this and hope the fires have been put out, and hope we can all move on.. truce?

oh and im older then you btw wich brings up a funny point.. thanx for putting me in my place. how many people ever say that? lol.. im not gona lie i am a bit "ethugish" but your grammer skils just blew me away at how well you just shut me up, i don think anyone has ever done that much to put me in my place. or have i ever seen anyone do such a job to shut some one up.. very good job.. i will now like should of a while ago.. shut my damn mouth.

so sorry to everyone i may have pissed off in the week long battle about this kids locker...

Jason its not a problem brother . And its as you can tell debating is my favorite thing to do other than off road and shooting sports .

And this particular style of response is what I like to call pulling a D. youll see one of his posts like this from time to time .

Hey you were in the right also , and well within your rights to say something when you saw a wrong , so dont appolagize for that .

And BTW I knew you were older . And from just what ive done in the past you will eventualy learn age is a number it means nothing , I know people twice my age that are and will be kids untill the grow up , and you will run into people like this too .

And truce accepted , we all get for lack of a better word passoinate here on the board this isnt the first aurgument nor the last I will be in . Take it easy brother .
