Auto trans take off problems..

Take off as in when it starts to move..

OK so my niece picked up a 99 3.0 2wd Ranger and the (automatic)trans works fine but every now and again when you stop and go to start again you have to wait, almost like the clutch is engaging slowly. Shifts fine between gears. Doesn't do it all the time but seems to have become more frequent. Doesn't seem to do it it you start off from 1st gear only if you start off in drive. I picked up a new trans filter to see if that will help the problem but wanted to get some advise from you guys first... Any help is greatly appreciated..

Maybe there is a leak in the valve body?

Use the search button at the top of the pane for 'valve body gasket'
It's a known problem that's been covered here before.

I am familiar with how forums work, I used the search button and the only transmission problem that I can across in the multiple pages of aimless, pointless searching was the issue with reverse. That is why I posted my own thread, not trying to come off as rude but that is how you did. Now that I have something else to search for I will, thank you.
