Automatic trans temps...

I'm curious about what others, especially other Scan Gauge users, are getting for transmission temps in their trucks. Post your temps up if you have a gauge.

Mine seems to get up to about 145*F in colder weather (20*F-35*F) and 170*F in warmer weather (70*F-80*F). I have only had my Scan Gauge since December, so I haven't been able to monitor temps in hot weather. I've got a 5R44E with BG full synthetic fluid in it.

Mine stays between there too. I have had it up to 220ish before though.

My sender is installed in the pump pressure port on the driver side.

Typical cold weather temps are 125 - 150. Hottest i got it so far was 200 playing in the snow. Typical city driving warmer days its about 160.

I am running a B&M trans cooler rated for 14k GVWR.

I have the stock aux cooler (plus the cooler in the rad), and regular city driving I see 155on my electrical temp guage. On the highway that drops to about 140.

In the winter sometimes i never see the temp needle move above where it rests at 110.

Only once did I see it rise to 165, and that towing 1800lbs of gravel in the bed on the way to the dump.

My sender is also in the pressure test port on the DS of the tranny.
