Help me find a cheaper Locker+Limited Slip for my 8.8 28 spline

So I'm thinking about a locker for the rear as I do a bit of four wheeling, but 90% of my driving is city/highway. I've got a 93 XLT ext cab 4X4 4.0 V6 Auto and I have to say I'm rather impressed with how well it wheels (had 2 Cherokees and a 94 4Runner with an auto locker in the rear - really didn't think the little pickup would do this well). But as with any 4X4 with open diffs, 4 wheel drive is effectively only "2 wheel drive" when you get a wheel or two up in the air. So I talked to the guys down at 4Wheel Parts in Westminster, CO (who were super helpful). Here are my questions to you forum folk:

I'm leaning toward an electric locker, are there any good advantages to Air? I don't want to go automatic/'Lunch Box'/Lock Right because of the clunkiness and the automatic-ness (I want to control it).

They told me about an 'Auburn Ected Max' Limited Slip + Locker. (http://www.auburngear.com/aftermarke...6EPCString3%3d ) Anyone have any experience with these? Limited Slip would be nice in the city on wet or snowy streets, and then I have the option to turn it completely on (locked), or off (Limited Slip).

At 4Wheel Parts I can get it for around $700 and put it in myself. Not saying this is a bad price, but can I get one cheaper anywhere?

Any thoughts on anything else?
