So Shane found me something else.
I'm gonna be buying a manual tranny out of a 02 fx4 l2. Not sure on the miles but I'm paying $150 for it and even shane said jump on it.
So my list goes like this...
The yard has these things:
Tranny - $150
Pedal assembly - $20-30
Flywheel - $(hopefully included in price)
Starter (manual trans)
Shane has:
Tail housing
Shifter and boot
Schucks has:
Clutch KIT - $205
Slave - $64
Master Cyl - (Not sure on price)
Question is, what else do I need? Someone said ECU, but here's the thing... It was a fx4 off road... 02... Meaning twin sticks. Some bastar* beat me to the case. Hmmm..... So I don't think the ECU will do me any good. I was told a process that if I take my truck in with shane's to a dealership they can flash my ecu using his codes while his truck is running. It has to be the same truck. So Shane and I are both 01, manual windows and locks, 4-door, 4.0L and 4wd with the same gear ratio's stock. So I've been told it can be done like that.
Oh and I'm also getting the 8.8 31spline with 4.10's and Torsen LS. That is if Shane lets me have it.
And he's getting the rear leafs outta it.
But I do need help on making sure I have everything because this swap is goin down starting tomorrow if I have everything.
I should be in the swap around $500-600 depending on who I know and what Shane has basically lol.

grab the PCM out of the 02 and plug it in. Problem solved. 01-02 I dont think there were any differences. Also why would it matter if its got a manual tcase? The PCM shouldnt know any different that I know of. To me it would be worth a shot. I know nothing of the reprogram you speak of.
Do you have an XCAL2 tuner? Your programmer if its Doug may be able to write you a new code for a manual transmission.

Someone else nabbed it before me though :-(
After the swap the only thing keeping me from fx4 status is: front skid and tank skid, manual t-case, lv2 hooks up front.... And I think that's it. All but the t-case are easy mods! The strive for the 01 fx4 lv2 is on!

My badges on the bed will be correct by the end of next week!
I was including the t-case skid you got for me. I don't want the seats or console. I have expo seats and console, AVIC-d3 for H/U, So I just need PW and PDL, tank and front skid and hooks... and of course manual t-case! Also, the black interior wasn't in all fx4's.. only Lvl2's! Oh and after the swap a Hurst is in order!
I shall call myself the fxedgeplorer! haha
