There are tons out there. I run EBC and I'm satisfied with them.

EBC, but I get them cheap through the rep at work. Sad thing is, it is probably what you will buy it for, retail.

Then look at rotors too. Ask Shane (Fx4wannabe) I think he is pretty happy with his combo.

i looked at EBC rotors when i upgraded but they were a bit out of my price range. i ended up going with powerstop slotted rotors. i got those and the hawke pads for $180 shipped. im am very pleased with the braking power now. very low dust too. ebc makes great stuff, just a bit pricey

I really do enjoy my Stoptech slotted rotors and Posi Quiet pads.....they kick butt over new stock stuff....(i had new raybestos pads and freshly resurfaced rotors when i replaced then with the stoptech and posi quiets)

What about Ford's severe duty pads for a stock application? I'm asking about a severe duty pad because I'm towing 6x12 trailers quite often now, not because I want to, but because I have to for my work.

Looking for a better stopping pad that doesn't chew up rotors too bad or makes a lot of brake dust, if that's possible. Thanks.

I ran Hawk Pads with PowerStop Slotted Rotors on my 99 and it worked well.

I just installed Hawk Pads on my 07 and they feel way better then stock (but new pads will always feel better).

I like napa brand, but then again I get them dirt cheap. They work well with bigger tires also.

Which series?
Found Hawk Ceramic pads and Hawk LTS Truck/SUV, and the ceramic doesn't look like it will stop as well.

Ceramic stops better than regular pads because it resists heat better. Heat is your enemy when it comes to brakes. They are use in race applications because of this. Down side is the price.

When I said the Hawk ceramic doesn't look like it will stop as well, I meant it wouldn't stop better than the truck/suv series Hawk pad. Didn't mean to imply that it wouldn't work better than the factory pad. Not exactly sure what the friction material in the LTS Truck/SUV pad is, but it did have pretty high ratings for stopping power.

Thanks for the link. For now it looks like I'm down to the LTS, HPS ... and someone told me that Performance Friction carbon metallic from O'reilly's are a good pad.
