Urgent! Axle shaft replacement help!!!

I have no idea which axle shafts to buy. I need to place the order ASAP b/c I have a long trip on wednesday on the hwy to do, my entire truck is shaking.

I need the whole kit, axle shafts, bearings, seals, etc...the works.

I was looking at this kit...

I only need the axle shaft itself, but I figured I need to replace the seals/bearings...or am I wrong?

How hard is this to do, my mech level is pretty high right now, and I have all the tools, etc, but how hard is it really to do? I have 2 days to do it.

How about this?

I'm completely clueless to this stuff, I need the one for my 8.8, all they ahve is mustang stuff, but I assume it is the same?

I figured I might as well go w/ superior's now instead of upgrading later...

I thought that the 8.8 28 spline was all the same...mustang, everything.

I may try ford for a factory part. I don't think I need the seals/bearings now that I researched a bit. It looks like they are a PITA too...I think I may just lube up the shaft and hope I don't tear the seal.

I hope it even is the axle shaft that is bent, I hope it's nothing worse...I know it's not the drum b/c that drum is from my 7.5

replacing the seals and such would be good preventative maintenance, but if you don't have any leaks or anything right now and are short on time, I wouldn't worry about them. I can't give you any help on what shafts to get though... I've never looked at getting new ones.

IIRC, Mustang axle shafts are the same length right and left but with Rangers the passenger side is shorter than the driver side.

TTT,

Just updating, it is part number F87Z*4234*AD from Ford.

It was too expensive, 171.57, but I needed it really badly and in a rush. They are getting it to me tommorow at 10am. Hopefully everything will work out!
