Bigger tires
Will installing bigger tires messup the transmission shift points? Can it cause actual damage to the tranny? Thanks guys

How big are you talking? What about some specs on your truck?

if you go up a couple inches in overall diameter, it wont affect anything. Although if you tried to put some 40's on there, then yea....

Right now it has 265/75/16s on it. I am thinking about going to 32/11.5/15. Its a 2000 ranger 4x4 4.0L with the 5 speed auto. With the current tires i have 682 revolutions per mile and with the 32s it would be 655 revs per mile.

it wont mess anything up

Mine was acting a lil different when I moved up on tire sizes. Beard suggesting resetting the computer. Worked like a charm, shifted like the day I bought it. D/c the battery for 15 minutes. Yeah, yeah. You'll have to reset your radio resets but oh well. lol

you will be just fine with the 32's

I have 35's and cant tell very much!

the dealer wont beable to recorrect to 265s, plus your speedo is barley off. try 35s and stock programming and gearing :blackeye: |
