? how to identify l/s rear

? how to identify l/s rear

at the junk yard what would be on the data tag to i identify a l/s rear? just have l/s in the numbers or what? thanks to who ever replies (i know how to read gear ratio on them just need the l/s part.)

There is a small tag on a rear cover bolt, on it there will be the letters “L/S” and the gear ratio.

There is probably a letter in the VIN but I do not know.

Someone else will cut in here who knows.

scroll down a bit. I don't believe there is anything in the VIN. Code on the Door tells all.

x2 or it will say 4L10 if 4.10LS on the axle tag etc. won't say LS

see my only problem with the door tag is i replaced the door lol so mines for a 99 2wd 3.0 but my truck is an 03 4.0 4x4

It'll be on the Axle tag, like the Kewn said.

The tag is on the door jamb, not the door, so your original will still be there.

I replaced the rear door that is the door jam for my 4dr

If you pop the cover off the axle, there'll be a "S" shaped spring within the carrier.
