Brake line size

The brake lines from my master cylinder to the axles are complete RUST solid rust, welded to the fitting by rust etc. So I need to replace them. I figure I'll get a universal steel line kit with fittings. What size are the lines? There's 1/4" 1/8" 3/16" and 5/16" that I see in universal kits so far.

The hard lines that go to the rear are 3/16, the front look the same size, and i'd assume they are, but i've never checked. Make sure you do inverted flares....because that is what they are.

Thanks much
I need some specific help now. I have to replace the lines from the master cylinder to the rear where it meets the soft line, and from the master cyl to the front soft line. I am confused on what fittings I need. Some people say 3AN and some say 3/16th inverted flare and some say the master cyl fittings are different than the other ones. Could someone give me a list of the fittings I need? Thanks a lot. Its a 96 4x4 ex cab

Would this kit work?

Jeeperz Creeperz: 48030 - Allstar Performance Nylon Brake Line Kit

or is it these fittings?

Jeeperz Creeperz: 50110 - Allstar Performance 3/16 Inverted Flare Nut, 10-Pack

To me, on my truck at least, the lines into the MC all look like 3/16 tube inverted flare. It is definitly NOT AN-3 fittings (they look like a flare....so not male threads on the nuts going into the MC).

The first kit won't work. The second link is what you want. The actual thread on those nuts are 3/8-24...so if you hold up a 3/8-24 bolt up and the threads look like they match, it is for sure a 3/16 tube inverted flare.
