This is myu first post but I've been in the forum for a time. I had my 4 wheel drive go out on my 2001 Ranger Edge. Did some research on the previous posts regarding this and traced the problem to the control module. I had the battery changed a while back and it appears to have burned out the unit. Followed the instructions on the threads and obtained a new one. Plugged it in and the 4 wheel drive came right up.

Thanks to you who posted the threads regarding this problem, it was a real help. Obtained my module from Parrauto.com for $120.00 plus shipping.
